Our Story

South Chemists and Distributors Association (SCDA) represent chemists and pharmaceutical distributors working in Delhi. SCDA acts as a link between the Government / Regulatory Authorities and our members keeping them abreast about the various rules, regulations and laws governing our Industry. SCDA also regularly organizes various educational camps and seminars to update knowledge of the industry and technology to our members. SCDA has been instrumental in the fight against the illegally operating E-Pharmacies in our country. Over the years, we have filed various petitions in the Honourable High Court of Delhi against many malpractices like the selling of drugs over the internet, misuse of aarogya setu app during the Covid 19 pandemic, IPO of a healthcare player operating in contravention to laws in our country among others. SCDA regularly gives representations to various Government Departments like the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministries of State and Central Government, local Government Authorities like the District Magistrate / Sub Divisional Magistrate, Drugs Control Departments of various states, and Pharmaceutical Companies. SCDA is regularly invited to various Government Departments for stakeholder consultations and for implementation of programs for the benefit of our public at large.
